​Khari Thompson

Khari Thompson is the high school sports reporter for The Commercial Appeal in Memphis, TN. He graduated cum laude from Hampton University with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism in 2017 and is also a member of the Sports Journalism Institute Class of 2017.

Thompson completed internships with the Daily Press in Newport News, Virginia and, the Wilmington Star-News in Wilmington, North Carolina, and most recently with Alabama Media Group in Birmingham, Alabama.

 

During his college days, Thompson was the on air-color commentator for Hampton University football and basketball games on the campus radio station 88.1 WHOV and co-hosted a weekly talk show with Hampton University's Athletic Director.
